Rochael Soper Adranly

Rochael Soper Adranly is a Partner and General Counsel at the international design firmIDEO. A JD/LLM graduate of Duke Law School in Durham, North Carolina, Rochael has been representing creative and innovative individuals and organizations as well as pursuing her own creative projects for close to 20 years. She has been a lecturer at the University of California at Berkeley School of Law, an adjunct professor at UC Hastings College of the Law, and recently taught "Designing Creative Legal Solutions" at Duke Law School's Winter Session.

Rochael has been featured in Modern Counsel magazine for her role as a creative counselor, walking the fine line between the rules-based world of law and the non-rules based world of innovation, as well as in GC Magazine as a lawyer who "thinks like a designer." Rochael was chosen by the Financial Times as one of 20 top general counsel worldwide.

In 2015 Rochael worked closely with her IDEO colleagues to create IDEO's Legal Design + Innovation practice. Through LD+I, IDEO is bringing its human-centered design offering to clients in the broader legal industry, building on IDEO’s work in the fields of healthcare, government, professional services and education. Today IDEO is working to solve some of the most pressing challenges of the legal industry.
