<image:title>Eyes on Privacy - Jason Bernstein</image:title>
<image:caption>Jason Bernstein is a partner and co-chair of the Data Security and Privacy group at the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg. He is paid to be psychotic, neurotic, and paranoid about his client’s data security. He thinks about what can go wrong, what the threats are, and how to prevent breaches. He helps his clients anticipate the bad things, and advises them on what they can do to prevent them from happening. But, if things do go wrong, he knows from experience how to handle the situation. He works with clients to proactively improve data security risk management and develop policies and procedures for incident response. Jason helps companies assess whether they need to comply with the new GDPR, CCPA, and other emerging requirements. He works with companies after a data breach to evaluate the situation, notify affected individuals and agencies, and guide the company in communications to minimize effects on brand reputation. Jason is a frequent speaker nationally to various organizations and conferences on how companies can respond to emerging cybersecurity threats, improve their risk management, and more effectively negotiate agreements with customers and vendors.</image:caption>

<image:title>Eyes on Privacy - Curtis Rogers</image:title>
<image:caption>Curtis Rogers worked in international business for most of his life. He was Director of the Far east for Quaker Oats and Manager of the Far East and Canada for the Mennen company. He has lived in Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Singapore. He has also run a family multistore chocolate business and established a marketing company for European businesses. He had the hobby of genealogy since he was a teenager and was appointed the manager of the FTDNA Rogers surname Project approximately 20 years ago. When autosomal DNA was introduced for use with genealogy, in partnership with another person, he developed tools for the Rogers Project that he wanted to share with other genealogists. He started GEDmatch to provide these tools to other genealogists for free. The site grew solely by word of mouth. On April 28, 2018, Curtis learned that GEDmatch was used to catch The Golden State Killer and a revolution in forensics had begun. Since that time it is estimated genetic genealogy has been used to solve more than 130 vicious crime cold cases and identify more than 30 otherwise unidentified remains. Curtis Rogers received a BS in Psychology from Denison University, an MBA from Michigan State University, and an MS in Counseling Psychology from Barry University.</image:caption>
